Our Sterilization Process

All instruments are housed in cassettes, which eliminates the risk of any contamination or injury to our staff as they are moved around the office.

We sterilize our instruments in hospital-grade autoclaves using several cycles of very hot steam. After they are removed from the autoclave, we wrap the cassettes with special autoclave paper to ensure that they remain completely sterile until we need them.

All sterilizers are monitored at every cycle for key mechanical, chemical, and biological indicators. We’re looking to make sure that the proper temperature and time conditions are met every time we use the equipment. We also keep digital records of this information for easy verification should that be necessary.

Rather than just tap water, we go a step further and use filtered and distilled water in all of our equipment units as another way of eliminating contaminants.

All surfaces are cleaned after every patient with a hospital-grade tuberculocidal disinfectant, and personal and surface barriers are used throughout the office to ensure proper infection control.
